Super Bowl XLII

Tim's not a sports fan. I would be, to some extent, if Tim was. Joey, a musician who is a "friend" of mine on MySpace posted this as his message a few days ago: "Joey would rather play a wicked game of UNO than watch sports." Tim agrees. If it weren't for our friend Tom I'd think that music and sports were exclusive interests that couldn't both be shared by the same person.

So, despite the fact that there are so many Air Force folks who watched the Super Bowl in real time here (meaning they watched it in the middle of the night) that late reporting was approved for Monday morning, we didn't give a crap about the game. Without giving a crap, I was hoping the Giants would win simply because I heard on the radio that they were the slight underdogs, and because the Patriot's quarterback Tom Brady left his pregnant girlfriend and hooked up with that supermodel. I just can't bring myself to cheer for his team, even halfheartedly.

How about you? Who were you cheering on, or didn't you care about the game either?

  1. Well, I couldn't care less about the game either..and, have no clue who any of the people are. But, since we have this new great TV, Dan wanted to watch it. He got bored right away, so we taped it and watched the last 3 minutes. Yes, I know, we cheated. I had mixed feelings. I thought it was cool that the Patriots were undefeated and would be awesome to win every game in the season. In the end, I thought it was cool the Giants won because the quarterback's older brother was apparently the Giant's quaterback at some point and he also won the Super Bowl. I think that's how the story went..and, I thought that was pretty cool.

I had no clue about that Brady guy leaving his pg girlfriend..not cool at all!
