Book Review: The Five People You Meet In Heaven

I enjoyed this book. I think the concept of the book is interesting.

The basic idea is that when you die and go to Heaven, it's not at all the Heaven that we would imagine it to be, but instead you go and you meet five people and you have to learn something from each of the five. The five people are people that were affected or effected your life in some way. It brings meaning to your life by explaining things you could not understand here on Earth.

I doubt for one second that this is what Heaven will be like, and it is a novel, but like I said, it is an interesting thought.

After reading The Shack, it was nice to have an easy read that I didn't have to think about ;)

  1. I've seen that book a bunch of times and wondered if it was good. I read Tuesdays With Morrie years ago; it was okay.

Blogger wouldn't let me upload photos for a bit, but I think it's okay now.

  2. I really wanted to read Tuesdays with Morrie..but it's not that good huh?

  3. I can't remember. It's been a really long time since I read it. Lots of people liked it obviously, since they made a movie out of it. I can't think of Mitch Albom without thinking of Hank Azaria, who played him!

  4. If this is the same book for which I think it might be, there is a carnival involved (correct?!?).

If so, I rented the movie from the library... excellent. Even the kids enjoyed what they watched of it.

  5. Carol - Yes, there is a carnival involved. I didn't realize they made a movie out of it. I should try and check it out.

    Thanks. Heather
