Heather was away from her computer when I started this week's Know and Tell Friday questions. After completing the questions and emailing Heather directing her to change any questions she didn't like, I went to bed. The first thought I had this morning was It's the 4th of July! The questions should have been centered around America's birthday!
Oh well.
But do enjoy this day that celebrates America's freedom and have a blessed weekend!

Reese's Answers:
1. If you are a blogger, what got you started? Have you ever made, or do you hope to make, money blogging? I started blogging because I was bored and lonely. I've always had an overwhelming desire to talk, and when that's not possible writing is second best. I was living in Germany when I started blogging, in a small farming community far removed from anyone who spoke English. A blog seemed to be a good way to stay in touch with people, relieve myself of words and thoughts and make new friends.
As for money, who wouldn't like to make money doing something they like? I'd love to make a few bucks every time I have a cup of tea, but that isn't likely to happen. Same with blogging!
2. Are you a collector of anything? Tea cups, a little. Dust. Otherwise, nope.
3. Apple juice or orange juice? Orange juice. Always. I'm not that into apples.
4. What are 3 of your best personality traits? Friendly, sincere, and compassionate. (I don't really know if those are my best personality traits! LOL! I'm guessing. I think I need to put some thought into the positive aspects of my personality.)
5. Name 1 thing you miss about being a kid. No bills. Or sitting in the apple tree behind our house and reading.
6. What is usually your first thought when you wake up? What are the boys up to?
7. Regarding material possessions: the more the merrier or less is best? I love an uncluttered environment and wish I lived in one. Less is best because stuff grates on my soul. I started boxing up extra things that I don't really need from my kitchen yesterday. If I don't follow through on that I may be forced to flee to the mountains and live in a sparsely decorated shack.
Heather's Answers:
1. If you are a blogger, what got you started? Have you ever made, or do you hope to make, money blogging? Reese got me started. I probably would never have blogged if it weren't for her. I think this is our third blog together and I love having this outlet for our friendship. As for the money issue, I have no clue, but it would be nice.
2. Are you a collector of anything? I have been a collector of different things over the years. I have found that I never really loved any of them and they just took up space. The one thing I collect now that is fun is full Pepsi cans from different countries. I have one from England (or France), one from Kuwait and two from Mexico. I was disappointed when I was in Germany because I did not find one Pepsi can. I bought two in Italy (for 4 Euro each; about $8 per bottle) and was going to bring one home but since I only had carry on luggage, I was scared of getting caught by security, and so, I drank them both!
3. Apple juice or orange juice? I'm an orange juice girl, I'm not real fond of apples either.
4. What are 3 of your best personality traits? Easy going, funny & good listener (that is hard!)
5. Name 1 thing you miss about being a kid. I really miss all the freedoms that came with being a child, i.e., no bills, no responsibilities, no worries!
6. What is usually your first thought when you wake up? My first thought is "Do I have too?". I really hate getting up!
7. Regarding material possessions: the more the merrier or less is best? Less is best, but I'm having a hard time living by that rule.

Reese, I love your #5! And Heather, I could help with #2!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend and thanks for the great questions!
Love both of your answers! Have a wonderful 4th of July!!
ReplyDeleteGreat questions... and answers! You guys are doing a great job with this meme!
ReplyDeleteHave a great fourth.
Reese,
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of the witty answer you came up with for #2...dust. How funny is that! I don't dust often enough because it stirs up my allergies. I wish I'd thought of that!
And I think your answer about blogging hits home with me. I myself am a talker. I sat at the "talker's table" in kindergarten. Yes, we really had one and six of us sat there. This blogging is sometimes the next best thing to adult conversation.
Thanks again for the answers on the camera. I probably won't get one until we move (which is only a month away) and then I can post pictures (hopefully) of a new house. Woo Hoo!

Heather,
ReplyDeleteI don't like to get up either, if you couldn't tell from my answer!
I think I remember my husband bringing back a Pepsi can once from an overseas military trip. This was years ago before the regulations on liquids and stuff, but I don't have a clue where it's gone. It might have been lost in a move somewhere. I guess in this last move of ours coming up I'll open every box for the last time and I'll know for sure. I'd forgotten about it until I read your post.
Glad you are blogging with Reese since I enjoy reading both of your posts.
